Emirates Standardized Test Rules
Please review and declare the following rules and procedures:
- Familiarize themselves with the registration rules and procedures:Test takers must familiarize themselves with the Emirates Standardized Test registration rules and procedures as outlined in on the registration instructions page on their platform. This includes, but is not limited to, test dates, procedures, how to submit an excuse for absence, test centers, test policies, and frequently asked questions.
- Take responsibility for choosing the test date and its location:Test takers are responsible for selecting their test date and location upon notification of registration opening. They must log into the system and choose a suitable date and location for the test from the available options on the system.
- Adherence to test conduct rules:Test takers must read and adhere to all rules governing the conduct of the Emirates Standardized Test.
- Submission of identification documents:Test takers must submit identification documents to confirm their identity as stated on the test permit.
- Prohibition of impersonation:Test takers must not allow anyone else to take the test on their behalf, whether in person at the test center or remotely from another device or by any other means.
- Unauthorized assistance:Test takes must not seek or acceptany form of unauthorized assistance during the test or during breaks.
- Possession of prohibited items:Test takers must not possess any prohibited items during the test, including study materials, notes, papers, or electronic devices such as mobile phones, headphones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, and any device with transmitting or receiving capabilities. All personal belongings should be stored in the designated locker at the testing center.
- Non-disclosure of test content:Test takers must not share the test content with anyone during and after the test, as this is considered cheating.
- Respectful behavior:Test takers should treat fellow test takers, invigilators, supervisors, and employees working in the testing center with respect.
- Care of testing center property:Test takers must respect and not misuse the testing center’s property, equipment or facilities.
- Restrictions on requesting test retakes:Test takers may not request the Ministry of Education to retake the test for free or provide an excuse for absence if they have attended and completed the test.
- Surveillance rights:The test center reserves the right to photograph testing halls and test takers, as needed.
Consequences of Rule Violations: In the event of a violation of the test conduct rules or an attempt to cheat by the test taker, the following measures will be taken:
- The result of the subject in which cheating was detected will be invalidated.
- Test takers will not be permitted to register to retake the test for the subject until three months have passed from the test date in which the violation was detected.
- If a test taker is caught cheating a second time, the result of the test in question will be withheld and they will be barred from retaking the test for six months from the test date in which the violation was detected.
